Dr Stanley Liew has more than 27 years of experience in practising medicine. He is a specialist in Endocrinology with interests in diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis and lipid disorders.

He obtained his basic medical degree from University College London Medical School in 1994. He continued his training in Internal Medicine in London and was conferred the award of MRCP (UK) in 1998. He pursued subspecialty training in Endocrinology at National University Hospital, and was accredited with Specialist Certification in Endocrinology in 2002. In 2003, he returned to the United Kingdom to further his postgraduate training at the Oxford Centre of Diabetes and Metabolism, UK.
He has been an active clinician as Consultant Endocrinologist at Raffles Hospital for the past 15 years. He has also supported Raffles Hospital in leadership roles as Medical Director of Raffles Hospital, as well as Managing Partner of Raffles Diabetes & Endocrine Centre. He was the Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Chairman of the Transplant Committee, Co-Chairman of Quality Committee, and Vice Chairman of Accreditation and Credentialing Committee. He was conferred the Chairman Service Excellence Award in 2017.
He previously headed the Diabetes Clinic and Weight Management Programme at the National University Hospital of Singapore. He was a full-time Consultant Endocrinologist and then a Visiting Consultant at the National University Hospital. He was also passionately involved in teaching of both undergraduate and graduate students as a Clinical Tutor of the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
Dr Liew is the current President of the Endocrine Metabolic Society of Singapore (EMSS), the President of the Federation of Endocrine Societies of Asia and Oceania (FESAO), and the immediate Past President of Singapore Association for the Study of Obesity (SASO). He was a Board Member of the Chapter of Endocrinologists, College of Physicians, Singapore.

He has been extensively featured in a wide variety of television, radio and print media including Channel News Asia, 938LIVE, The Straits Times, and health magazines, covering health issues on diabetes, thyroid, osteoporosis, obesity, and diabetes complications.

Dr Liew can converse in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien and Bahasa Melayu.
